I guess I’d have to say that my mother was really the first to introduce me to yoga. I wasn’t super athletic, but I did like low-impact sports.
Not at all easy
Perhaps you think the workout video has fallen to the wayside since the Buns of Steel era. As I found out a few short weeks ago, that is not at all the case.
Feeling the burn

Faster, higher… bendier?
Competitive yoga: it sounds like a contradiction in terms, but adepts are crossing their fingers (and arms and legs) that it will become an Olympic sport in 2012.
New twist faster, higher, bendier
Contorting into a shape that bodies simply should not be bent into, legs and arms at impossible angles, I summon every ounce of strength and attempt the full locust pose. The pose lasts all of three seconds before I collapse into a sweaty, crumpled heap.
